- Payment Details: Transaction reference IDs, payment status, and mode of payment (cash or online gateway reference).
This information is used strictly for identity verification, ride booking, rider and driver safety, payment processing, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and enhancing our customer service.
3. Driver & Vehicle Verification Details
To maintain the highest standards of passenger safety, vehicle roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance, we collect comprehensive background and verification data from drivers registering on the CityDropTaxi platform.
For Driver Partners, we collect and securely verify:
- Aadhaar Card: For government identity and address verification.
- Driving License (Commercial/Transport): To verify legal driving authorization and vehicle class competency.
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC Book): To confirm vehicle ownership, vehicle registration number, and chassis details.
- Vehicle Insurance Policy: To ensure active, valid third-party and passenger transit insurance coverage.
- Police Verification Certificate: Background verification record to safeguard customer security.
- Driver Selfie / Live Photograph: Real-time photo check for identity match against uploaded documents and profile identification for customers.
- Vehicle Images: Interior and exterior photos of the vehicle to inspect safety conditions and ensure accurate vehicle representation to riders.
Driver identity and KYC documents (such as Aadhaar card and Police Verification records) are encrypted and stored in restricted access environments. They are accessed only by authorized compliance personnel for onboard verification and legal requirements, and are never shared publicly with passengers.
4. Location Information Policy
Location data is fundamental to the core functionality of a ride-hailing service like CityDropTaxi. We collect accurate and approximate geographical location data from users' devices.
CityDropTaxi collects your location only to:
- Find and match nearby available drivers to your pickup spot quickly.
- Provide real-time turn-by-turn navigation for drivers to reach your pickup location.
- Navigate accurately to your selected destination drop point.
- Calculate exact trip distance, route durations, tolls, and fair transparent pricing.
- Enable live trip tracking for customer peace of mind and emergency safety monitoring.
- Improve ride dispatch accuracy and optimize route efficiency.
For Drivers, CityDropTaxi collects location data even when the app is running in the background or closed during an active trip or when the driver is marked “Online / Available for Booking”. This is strictly necessary to route booking requests to the nearest driver, calculate distance travelled, and display live vehicle movement to the waiting customer.
For Customers, location data is only accessed when the app is in use (foreground) to set pickup/drop points and monitor an ongoing trip.
No Unauthorized Location Sharing: Your live location is only shared between the assigned driver and customer for the specific duration of an active booking. Once the trip is completed, live location tracking ends immediately.
5. Payment Information
CityDropTaxi provides seamless online and cash payment choices. For all digital payments, we partner with RBI-authorized and PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (including Razorpay).
We do NOT collect or store your sensitive financial information:
- Debit Card Number / Expiry Date
- Credit Card Number / Expiry Date
- CVV / Security Code

Users can adjust their notification preferences in their device app settings at any time, though essential ride dispatch alerts cannot be disabled while a trip is active.
